The best affiliate software for SaaS in 2026
Affiliate software for SaaS has to follow a subscription: renewals, upgrades, refunds and the billing system you already use. Here are eight tools worth a shortlist, grouped by the kind of program each one suits, with October 2026 pricing and the questions that decide between them.
In an online store, the simplest affiliate sale is one order: a visitor clicks, buys a pair of shoes, and the affiliate earns on it. SaaS affiliate program management is different. A customer starts a trial, pays monthly for two years, upgrades, asks for a partial refund, and maybe pays from a laptop after clicking on their phone. Good affiliate software for SaaS follows all of that, from your billing system, without anyone typing numbers into a spreadsheet.
This post is a shortlist for SaaS teams choosing affiliate program software, or switching. It groups eight tools by the kind of program they suit, because “best” depends on what your partners look like. We build one of them, OpenPartner, so weigh that section accordingly. Pricing comes from each vendor’s public pages, checked in October 2026. It changes, so check again before you sign. Sources are at the end.
What SaaS needs from affiliate software
Five things separate the tools that work for subscriptions from the ones that don’t.
- A real billing integration. Renewals, upgrades and refunds should arrive from Stripe, Paddle, Chargebee or whatever you bill with, without code on every invoice. Check which billing systems the tool supports, and how the partner’s click reaches your billing system in the first place. Our guide to affiliate software with a Stripe integration goes into detail.
- Recurring commissions that outlive the cookie. For a subscription business, renewals in month 6, 12 and 24 can be most of what a partner earns. See affiliate software with recurring commissions. The tool should keep a customer with the partner who won them, and keep paying the recurring rule, long after any cookie has expired.
- Attribution that survives a long trial. The time between the click and the first payment can be weeks. Ask how the tool ties the click to the customer: a browser cookie only, or the customer’s account once they sign up.
- Refunds and clawbacks. A refund should reverse the commission on it, partially when the refund is partial. When the partner was already paid, the tool should record what’s owed back. More in commission tracking software.
- Your data when you leave. After two years, your commission history is a record of what you owe and have paid. Check whether you can export it, with the clicks behind it, yourself.
After those five, the choice is mostly about who your partners are and who you want to send them money.

Self-serve SaaS on Stripe or Paddle, mostly affiliates
If your partners are bloggers, YouTubers, newsletter writers and happy customers, and you bill on Stripe or Paddle, the small SaaS-focused tools are the obvious place to start. They’re self-serve, published-price, and quick to set up.
Rewardful
Built for SaaS on Stripe and Paddle. Starter is $49/month for up to $7,500 a month in affiliate revenue, Growth $99/month up to $15,000, and Enterprise from $149/month, tiered by usage. Paying yearly costs 10 months’ worth. There’s no transaction fee, and Starter and Growth have a 14-day trial.
Each campaign uses first-touch or last-touch attribution (first-touch is the default for new campaigns), with a 60-day default cookie. You pay affiliates through PayPal or Wise bulk payouts, or turn on Managed Payouts, where Rewardful pays them for a 3% fee. Its Paddle help article covers Paddle Classic, so check first if you’re on Paddle Billing.
Best fit: a Stripe SaaS with a straightforward affiliate program that wants a low, published monthly price. OpenPartner vs Rewardful →
FirstPromoter
The broadest billing coverage of the small tools: Stripe, Paddle, Chargebee, Recurly and Braintree. Starter is $49/month for up to $5,000 a month in affiliate revenue and 1,000 affiliates, Business $99/month up to $15,000, and Enterprise from $149/month through a sales call. Paying yearly costs 10 months’ worth, and the 14-day trial doesn’t need a card.
Last-click by default, with first-click as an option. Mass payouts go out by PayPal, Wise, Stripe, crypto or bank transfer. FirstPromoter can also pay affiliates for you, but only on its Enterprise 2 tier or higher, for a SaaS business, after its approval. Reports export as CSV or JSON. It also supports multi-tier commissions, where affiliates earn on affiliates they recruit.
Best fit: SaaS billing on Chargebee, Recurly or Braintree. OpenPartner vs FirstPromoter →
Tolt
Built for SaaS startups. Growth is $99/month for up to $20,000 a month in affiliate revenue, Pro $199/month up to $50,000, and Enterprise is custom. Paying yearly gets two months free, and there’s a 14-day trial without a card. It works with Stripe, Paddle (Billing and Classic), Chargebee and RevenueCat. Tolt can pay partners for you, with tax forms, for a 2% processing fee. It also lists an in-app referral widget for customer referrals on every plan.
Best fit: an early SaaS that wants managed payouts, and customer referrals in the same tool. OpenPartner vs Tolt →
Affonso
The lowest fixed price on this list: $15/month billed yearly for up to $1,000 a month in partner revenue, Growth at $39/month ($29 billed yearly) up to $10,000, and Elite at $99/month ($79 billed yearly) up to $30,000. It supports Stripe and the merchant-of-record billers Paddle, Polar, Creem and Dodo Payments. Every plan includes a listing in its affiliate marketplace, and from Growth it can pay affiliates for you, for a flat fee per invoice plus a surcharge. Prices here are the US dollar prices from its pricing page, which may show your local currency.
Best fit: an indie SaaS on Polar, Creem or Dodo, or one that wants a $15-a-month start. OpenPartner vs Affonso →
When attribution and data ownership matter
OpenPartner
We build OpenPartner for SaaS teams whose customers take a while to buy, use more than one device, or come through more than one partner, and who want to be able to prove every commission.
- Attribution follows the customer’s account. A partner click carries its id in the landing
URL. When the customer signs up or signs in on the browser they clicked from, your app calls
identifywith your own user id, and the click is tied to their account. After that, events for that user are credited through that click on any device. The first conversion has to land inside the program’s attribution window, 60 days by default and adjustable from 1 to 365. Renewals then stay with the partner who won the customer, by default. Each program picks one of four models: last click, first click, linear or position-based. How attribution works. - Stripe, or anything else. Connect Stripe and purchases, invoices, renewals, refunds and partner promo codes are read from your own Stripe account by the OpenPartner Stripe App, which is in beta. On Paddle, Chargebee or your own billing, your server reports the same events through the API.
- Commission rules for subscriptions. A first-sale bonus plus a recurring rate, a months cap, slabs by deal size, performance tiers, and bounties and bonuses that don’t count as revenue. Two-tier commissions, off unless you turn them on for a program, pay partners a share of what the partners they recruit earn, two levels deep.
- You pay partners. OpenPartner works out what each partner is owed and prepares payment files. You pay by PayPal, bank transfer or your own method and mark the payout paid. We never hold the money and charge no payout fee. If you want the platform to send payments for you, pick Rewardful, Tolt or Dub instead.
- Export any time. Your program data, raw clicks and events included, as a JSON or SQL bundle, or one table at a time as JSON, CSV or SQL, from the dashboard. What’s in an export.
Pricing: Revshare is 3% of partner-attributed revenue with no monthly fee. Flex is $49/month plus 1.5%. Each conversion is billed the larger of that rate and 10% of the partner’s commission (5% on Flex), so the commission only sets the fee above 30% commission, or on bounties for events with no sale amount. See pricing.
Where it falls short: two-tier commissions stop at two levels, and there are no Shopify or WooCommerce plugins, no deal registration, and no managed payouts on hosted plans.
Creator-led programs
If your best partners are YouTubers, newsletter writers and LinkedIn creators, two things matter beyond tracking: finding them, and paying for sponsored content alongside commission.
- OpenPartner includes the OpenPartner Network, a creator marketplace, at no extra fee on hosted plans. Creators apply to your programs, and can list priced packages on a storefront, such as a sponsored video or a newsletter slot. Book one and approve the post, and the agreed amount is added to the creator’s earnings as a bonus. You pay it with the rest of their payout. More in influencer affiliate tracking. - Dub Partners comes from the team behind the Dub link platform, so branded short links and link analytics come with the program. Business is $90/month, covering up to $2,500 a month in partner payouts and 500 partners, and Advanced is $300/month, covering up to $15,000. Dub pays partners for you, for 5% of payouts funded by ACH or 8% by card (3% and 6% on Enterprise). Its partner network is Enterprise-only. OpenPartner vs Dub →
B2B SaaS with resellers and deal registration
PartnerStack
If your program has affiliates, referral partners and resellers at once, and your sales team closes deals partners bring in, PartnerStack is worth evaluating. It handles deal and lead registration, integrates with Salesforce and HubSpot, pays partners in their own countries, and has a B2B partner network that AppDirect, which acquired it in April 2026, puts at more than 138,000 partners.
It’s sold through a demo on an annual contract, with an annual fee plus a percentage of the commissions your partners earn. Buyer-reported data on Vendr puts the median contract at about $19,600 a year. PartnerStack alternatives →
If what you need is a reseller portal with training, deal registration and co-marketing funds, you may be looking for PRM software rather than affiliate software. See PRM vs affiliate software.
Large or consumer-facing programs
impact.com
The enterprise partnerships platform, which now publishes prices. Starter is $30/month plus 2.5% of revenue, for brands on ecommerce platforms like Shopify and WooCommerce only. Essentials is $500/month, including up to $2,500 a month in partner payouts, Pro is $2,500/month including up to $14,300, and Enterprise $10,000/month including up to $82,500. Its pricing FAQ describes a 12-month contract. impact.com pays partners from an account you pre-fund, and its marketplace claims more than 250,000 partners.
The tiers are described in ecommerce terms, so a SaaS team should ask which one it qualifies for. impact.com alternatives for SaaS →
Customer referrals inside your app
A refer-a-friend program (“give a month, get a month”) is a different shape from an affiliate program: the referrers are your customers, and the reward is often account credit or a discount. Some affiliate tools can run both. See referral program software for the tools built for it and how to run one without a widget vendor.
How to choose in five questions
- What do you bill with? If it’s Chargebee, Recurly or Braintree, start with FirstPromoter. If it’s Polar, Creem or Dodo, Affonso. On Stripe or Paddle, check each tool’s documented integration against your billing version (Paddle Classic and Paddle Billing differ). On your own billing, check for an API.
- Who should send partners their money? If you want the platform to pay partners, compare Rewardful (3%), Tolt (2%), Dub (5% to 8%), PartnerStack and impact.com. If you’d rather pay partners yourself and pay no fee on it, OpenPartner.
- Who are your partners? Affiliates: any of the small tools. Creators: OpenPartner or Dub. Resellers and co-sell partners: PartnerStack, or a PRM.
- How long and messy is your buying journey? With long trials, several devices and more than one partner per customer, look closely at how each tool ties the click to the customer, and which attribution models it offers.
- What would leaving cost you? Ask for a full export on a trial account, raw clicks included, before you have two years of history in it.
If OpenPartner sounds like the right shape, start on Revshare. There’s no monthly fee: each attributed conversion costs 3% of the sale, or 10% of the partner’s commission if that’s higher, so a bounty or bonus with no sale amount is billed on the commission. If one of the others fits better, use it. Just don’t choose on the headline price alone: run your own renewals, refunds and payouts through a trial first.
